Updated: Apr 10

On this campaign trail, I’m coming across our Leech Lake people who have some very strong feelings about what they see, what they feel, what they want…they are very much entitled to those feelings and I am listening.

If elected, I will do my best to work with the full council to meet our people’s needs as we are able to financially and within the guidelines of set policies of all programs and businesses. Even if we have agreed to disagree in the past (pretty rare that this has happened for me), or if you did not support me in the first round of this election process, I will work with and for everyone equally and fairly regardless - as that is the responsibility of what good leadership does.

Just know that good leadership also needs to hit those tough issues directly and fairly as well, which I’m not afraid to do. Nothing in this world is perfect and we must always look towards improving systems for the betterment of our great nation….AKA accountability.

Working with the rest of the Tribal Council to develop and implement an Elder’s and Women’s Council/Advisory Group would also be on my agenda for strategic planning efforts and just general guidance overall; the true Anishinaabe ways.✨
