My name is Cindy Kingbird, and I am a candidate for the open seat of Secretary/Treasurer of the Leech Lake Nation. I am from the Muckwa Clan, born to Louise Jackson and the late Ernest Hunt. My grandparents are Rose and Fred Jackson Sr., and Phyllis and James Hunt Sr. I was raised in the Old Agency Village, later lived in Cass Lake at Mission Corner and the Midge Lake area. I am currently residing in my community of West Cass Lake.
My husband Will Sr. and I are blessed with large family that includes our children; Taryn, Andrew, Will Jr., Sunshyne, and the late Jaxonibun, Dedric, Kingsly, Gabriel, Norman, Nino, Neegi, Carter, and many more from throughout the years. We are also blessed grandparents to Kambri, Andrew, and Malachi.
